So, I met this guy today. I played guitar at a conference he spoke at this week, but I never got a chance to meet him. Today I was out talking to some kids at church and I looked up and there he was. Donald Miller, one of my favorite writers. How cool is that? I really enjoy his writing style, it's refreshing. I know that word sounds funny, but I think it describes him pretty well.
Right after I talked to Donald (we're on a first name basis now) I walked into Elevate where a 6th grade girl showed me her brand new purse with a Playboy Bunny on it. I was pretty surprised and acted like I thought it was cool. I don't think she knew what the bunny was. OR she was just testing me. If so, I failed. She had the matching wallet too.
I got this album last week. After a week of listening to it, I'm not tired of it, so that's a good sign. The music sounds like fleetwood mac mixed with early radiohead. The lyrics are clean but I am not sure what they are talking about. Maybe a busted marriage engagement. The whole Van Occupanther throws me off. I would recommend giving it a listen.
