Road Trip to Iowa

This weekend Scott Bartlow and I drove to Ames, Iowa to see the Sooners play Iowa State. We got to Iowa around 11pm on Friday night and after a 6 hour drive and some Village Inn breakfast we were ready to hit the hay. The only problem was that all the hotels were packed and we were having a little trouble finding a room. We went to three hotels before we found a vacancy. It was their last room left and it was a smoking king size.Yay! B-low and I both slept terribly, mostly because of his snoring and my sleep walking. We got up on Saturday ate a free breakfast and headed over to the stadium to meet up with one of my dad's buddy's who had some tickets for us. Turns out he is the director of Sooner Sports which handles all of the advertising and sponsorship for Oklahoma University's sports. We hung out at his RV for a bit and got to mingle to Joe Castiglione, who is the Athletic Director of OU, we felt cool. The game wasn't that exciting though. Oklahoma's offense played pretty bad not scoring a single point in the first half. But in the second half they out scored Iowas State 17-0 winning us the game. We decided to head home home right after the game but not before stopping at Fazoli's for the mediocre Italian fast food. B-low loves Fazoli's for their free garlic bread sticks and microwaved pizza. I hate Fazoli's for their diarrhea causing "entrees", but I pretended I liked it. There's nothing worse than a grumpy Bartlow on a road trip.
After that we loaded up on iced coffee's and beef jerky and headed back home. The trip home was pretty uneventful. Bartlow slept most of the way and I listened to an entire Garth Brooks live album. What is happening to my musical taste?

There are very few albums better suited for speeding on a freeway than the Garth Brooks live album...although you have to skip "The Dance", otherwise it will turn you gay.
