I'm still recovering from our sixteen and a half hour trip.
We left Chicago at 4 p.m. Tuesday and immediately hit rush hour traffic, but we were optimistic mostly cause we had enough Crunch 'n Munch to get us to OKC. About 30 minutes out of Chicago we hit a blizzard with 50 mile per hour winds so we decided to slow it down a bit and take our time since we couldn't see 10 feet in front of my car. Then my speedometer broke. FYI, it's not fun to drive in a blizzard when you have no idea how fast you are going.

It ended up taking us about 5 hours to get out of the blizzard and when we did we still had two hours before we got St. Louis. At this point it was around 9 and we still hadn't eaten so we decided to make a pit stop. Just before we got off the highway my "Check Tire Pressure" light came on...Crap. The wind was still blowing hard and the temperature had dropped to 9 degrees so needless to say filling the tire up was pretty miserable. We ended up having to fill my tire up 3 times before it finally went flat in Lebanon Missouri at 1:30 a.m. It took Tyler, Devon and I two hours to change the flat cause my spare was jammed up under my car and we didn't get back on the road until 3:30 a.m.

Two hours outside in 12 degree weather + 3:30 a.m. = suck.
The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful except for the couple times I dozed off in Tulsa around sunrise. I am happy we made it safely and I am not looking forward to the ride home.
I took my tire in to get fixed today and it turns out that I needed to have three of them replaced so I just had the shop replace all of them. Not cheap.

Filling up tire first time around. 9 degrees 50 mph Wind. So cold.
