On Repeat

I have been listening to both of these albums a lot lately.

I have a feeling this album is going to get pretty popular. This is the best album I have heard in a long time. It's a great mix of alt country-folky acoustic-indie rock-epic ballad goodness. Check it out. I think it will speak for itself.

I don't know why I didn't own this album until last week. My Morning Jacket has been a favorite band of mine since I picked up It Still Moves in 2002. Maybe it's the fact that they have recorded some of their albums in my home town of Shelbyville, Ky, or that Jim Jame's voice could put me to sleep during an earthquake, but I just love this band. At Dawn is a mix of bluesy southern rock jams and softly played acoustic songs over a ambient track of cicada and cricket noise that will make you feel like you are sitting on the front porch listening to a friend play you a song. I would suggest giving it a listen.
